Got a Cavity? Try Calcium, Phosphates and Fluoride

If you notice a strange white spot on one or more of your teeth, that could be the start of a cavity. You can visit with the dentist to see if this really is the case and get some help treating it. If you do have to wait before you can see the dentist, you can try some of the following suggestions to help you with the cavity. These suggestions can also help you prevent cavities as well.

You can help yourself with by using toothpaste and a mouth rinse that have calcium, phosphates and fluoride in them. These minerals are necessary and effective components for strengthening your teeth.

Out teeth have a way of fixing themselves, which is called remineralization. Fluoride is highly recommended for this process. It gets absorbed into a tooth, where it increases the strength of the enamel. Fluoride can also help the enamel draw in other vital minerals like phosphates and calcium to become part of the enamel structure.

Through their cooperation, teeth can be made stronger. Well, the structural integrity of the teeth will not be foolproof, but they can better withstand things like cavities.
